AVA is offering satellite club teams for the Alvin-Manvel Players for three age divisions

14U (8th graders)
13U (7th Graders)
12U (5th & 6th Graders).

What is Club Volleyball???  Club volleyball is a competitive league that trains outside of the school season to help improve your skills quickly.  Kids play club to increase their chances of making the school team, make the best team they can at school, and to possibly earn a college scholarship.  AVA has assisted 100% of its high school seniors to earn college scholarships. 

 
TRYOUTS

When:  Tuesday October 18th 7-9pm, arrive early for check-in please

If needed, additional tryout, Oct. 25th 7-9pm

Where:  Harby Jr High

Tryout Cost:  $30  


What to Bring:  Tryout Fee:  $30 cash, copy of birth certificate (only if new player), wallet size photo, $200 non-refundable deposit*.  If you are not selected or you choose not to play, then we return that check to you immediately (*once you accept a position in the program, your deposit is applied towards your total dues and is non-refundable if you should decide not to play later on)

Teams will be announced on Oct. 18th and/or Oct. 25th.  Teams are based on having 10 players.   We will make a team with the minimum of 8 players, but that will increase your fees.
 
CLUB INFORMATION:

Practices will be held on Tuesday nights 7-9pm at Harby starting November 29th and finish in April.  Practices follow the Alvin ISD school calendar and will not be held when the school is closed.  Optional practices may be offered during those dates at the AVA Training Facility.   

Four Tournaments will be played in the Houston Area with at least one tournament at the AVA Facility.  We will have schedules ready at the tryout. Cost for the season is $800.   Deposit of $200 due on Oct. 18th (or acceptance into the program.)  Two payments of $300 on Nov. 15th and Dec. 15th will complete your dues to AVA for the season.  Please make all checks out to AVA of Texas.  Players that are not current will not be allowed to participate in practices or tournaments.  Please make arrangements with Katy Garza if you need extra time.

Fundraiser:  There will be one mandatory fundraiser.  You must sell at least 10, $10 tickets for the 2012 Camaro Give-A-Way on December 16th.  More information will be passed out at tryouts.
